Earth Symbiocene Inventory

ESI — the same thirteen subscales, asked of an ordinary life

This inventory does not measure fitness in the old sense — strength, speed, technical skill. It asks a quieter question: how readily does this person's sense of self extend to include the system that sustains them — body, relationship, machine, and the living world around them?

142 statements, answered honestly rather than impressively. There is no failing score — only a portrait of where you stand today, in the actual life you're already living.

This inventory holds two truths at once. Conventionally, real development is happening — capacities are built, skills are acquired, and that work matters. Ultimately, nothing here was ever missing — awareness was always whole. Read your scores as you would read weather, not as you would read a verdict.
All 142 items are required for an accurate profile.
A note on this instrument. The ESI is in development and has not undergone formal psychometric validation (reliability, factor structure, or normative testing). It is an educational and exploratory self-reflection tool — not a diagnostic or clinical selection instrument. Your scores reflect a single self-report at a single moment; read them with curiosity rather than certainty.

On your privacy. To help refine this instrument, your anonymous item-level responses (the numbers you select, nothing else) may be recorded for research purposes. No name, email address, IP address, or any other identifying information is collected or stored at any point. There is no way to connect your responses back to you.
